In 2020 we experimented with our first-ever Chardonnay in the “naked” style.  Our customers loved it and we sold out quickly.  We vowed to make it again, the result being this delicious wine from the cooler 2021 vintage.  Head winemaker Dan Bissell selected several small lots of Chardonnay grapes that were beautifully suited to our “naked” style: primary fermentation in stainless steel and no malolactic (secondary) fermentation.  After extensive blending trials of the various lots, the result is a wine of distinction, the simplest and truest possible expression of the variety, vineyard and vintage.   

 Food Pairing Ideas:  The perfect accompaniment to cheese trays (especially classic creamy cheeses like Brie and Camembert); salads with Caesar or vinegar-based dressings, with or without chicken or feta; sushi, shellfish, or white fish.
