This beautiful and distinctive wine is true to its name:  gewürz means spiced or perfumed in German.  Floral on the nose, rich fruit notes on the palate, long, clean, and soft on the finish.  Enjoy this exceptional wine as an aperitif with dried fruits and cheeses, paired with curries, or with spicy sausages and sauerkraut.

Our 2017 vintage was awarded the 2018 Governor's Cup for Best Wine in New York from among 800 entries.  That vintage is sold out.

Description of our 2017 Gewurztraminer (now sold out) in The Wine Enthusiast, Best of Year 2018 issue, p. 62:
90 pts.  A fragrant perfume of rose petals, melon, ginger and white pepper spice comes together in the glass.   Succulent in feel, the palate is broad and oily, with supportive acidity and mild astringency maintaining balance.  Flavors of juicy yellow apple, melon and spiced potpourri broaden the midpalate and lead to a delicate jasmine note on the lingering finish. -- A.P.

One of our favorites from our tasting this Summer. Life long red wine drinkers, we learned we also like DRY WHITES. This style, this one in particular, is amazingly smooth, refreshing and has a pleasant not too sweet finish. Hard pronunciation, but easy drinking.
