2018 Semi Sweet Riesling receives 92 point and Best Buy rating in Wine & Spirits Year's Best US Rieslings
Our 2018 Semi Sweet Riesling was rated 92 points and a Best Buy in Wine & Spirit Magazine's June 2020 issue of Year's Best US Rieslings. "This feels more semi-dry than semi-sweet despite its deep, fleshy peach, apricot, and orange flavors. But the wine remains bright and balanced, thanks to a backbone of acidity that calls for Sichuan pork." P.J.C.
Recently Mark Squires of Robert Parker's Wine Advocate visited the Finger Lakes and reviewed some of our wines. Wine Advocate is a highlly acclaimed wine review publication that has been published for over 35 years. We were honored to receive the following scores, particularly on the ice wines:
"...harvested with the grapes frozen on the vine, old school. Dense and concentrated...the classic expression of Riesling underneath and it shows great."
"...sensational, ... utterly delicious...gorgeously balanced. Long, fresh, and clean...this should age beautifully."
"This might be my favorite "classic" bottling yet."
"Nicely done. This should hold for the next decade or so."
"Solid, focused and flavorful, this tastes great and should age well. It may yet improve and develop more too. It's a very fine value."
"...sourced from old vines (1981)...a great bargain. Beautifully textured, ....well balance...beautiful apricot and peach flavors, all nicely defined and lifted by the acidity. This is hard to resist."
