First of the Year Awards are in!

At the recent San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, the largest competition of American Wines, our 2020 Wiltberger Vineyard Riesling was awarded Best of Class! In this year's competition, forty-eight judges evaluated 5,816 wines from nearly 1,000 wineries. Our humble Riesling was described as,

"A lug box of perfectly ripe summer peaches whose sunny flavor is drawn out with ample sugar, but thanks to the wine's acute acidity the wine is all energy and balance."

What's not to love about perfectly ripe summer peaches?

The Wiltberger Vineyard Riesling is an estate wine, with the grapes coming from the vineyard adjacent to the tasting room which hails after our family's namesake.

Also awarded were our 2020 Cabernet Franc (Gold), 2020 Semi Sweet Riesling (Gold), 2020 Blaufränkisch (Silver), Crooked Lake White (Silver), 2020 Humphreys Vineyard Riesling (Bronze), and 2020 Saperavi (Bronze).
